Dutch Question Words (A1)
These words are used to ask for specific information (not just yes/no).
The most common ones at A1 level are:
- Wie? = Who?
Wie is dat?
(Who is that?)Wie spreekt Nederlands?
(Who speaks Dutch?)
- Wat? = What?
Wat eet je?
(What are you eating?)Wat is jouw naam?
(What is your name?)
- Waar? = Where?
Waar woon je?
(Where do you live?)Waar is het station?
(Where is the station?)
- Wanneer? = When?
Wanneer kom je?
(When are you coming?)Wanneer is de les?
(When is the lesson?)
- Hoe? = How?
Hoe gaat het?
(How are you? / How is it going?)Hoe heet je?

- Waarom? = Why?

- Welke? = Which? / What?
- Used before a noun.
Welke talen spreek je?
