Pronunciation Notes:

• Numbers are often written as one long word, but pronunciation naturally breaks them down.
• Pay attention to the en (and) connecting units and tens (e.g., drieëntwintig - three-and-twenty).
• honderd and duizend are singular nouns when used exactly (100, 1000), but act as multipliers otherwise (e.g., tweehonderd, vijfduizend). Miljoen remains a noun (twee miljoen euro).
